The 2015 Ford F-150 offers four engine options with a range of power production and fuel economy. The engine that’s right for you depends on your needs, wants, and budget. The F-150’s four engine options are as follows:
2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine that produces 325 horsepower and 375 lb-ft of torque and is EPA rated for 19 city and 26 highway mpg.
3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine that produces 365 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque and is EPA rated for 17 city and 24 highway mpg.
3.5-liter Ti-VCT V6 engine that produces 282 horsepower and 253 lb-ft of torque and is EPA rated for 18 city and 25 highway mpg.
5.0-liter Ti-VCT V8 engine that produces 385 horsepower and 387 lb-ft of torque and is EPA rated for 15 city and 22 highway mpg.
All of these engines come standard with an electronic six-speed automatic transmission.
The ride of the 2015 Ford F-150 is one reason today’s truck buyers love it so much. This love can be attributed to its amazing towing capability and the inner workings of the suspension, shocks, steering, and braking systems. More specifically, you get the following:
Independent double-wishbone with coil-over shock and stamped lower control arm front suspension.
Leaf spring/solid axle rear suspensions.
Heavy-duty gas-pressurized front and rear shocks.
Power four-wheel anti-lock vented disc brakes.
Electric power-assisted steering.
Together, all of these technologies work to give you a comfortable ride so you don’t have to feel all of the bumps and blemishes in the road.
Truck buyers also enjoy the Ford F-150’s standard features and the list of optional ones from which they can choose. Regardless of your budget, wants, and needs, you can find a setup that will make you feel as comfortable as you want when you’re driving the F-150. Consider the following:
The optional reverse sensing system makes pulling out of Muscatine job sites a little bit easier.
The fully flat load floor will give you more underseat storage space than in previous models, making it easier to load up.
Cruise control means those long highway drives are more fuel efficient and comfortable.
The all-weather rubber floor mats mean you can get as dirty as you want on the site and still keep your truck clean.
